NFSI

The National Fire Safety Institute was established in 2014 and later in 2016 under the ‘Labour Employment & Environment Development Council’ to provide training in fire management, industrial safety, disaster management, and related subjects. In addition to regular fire and safety courses, it offers skill development programs such as Basic Computer Education, Driving, Swimming, English Improvement Course, Civil Defence, Disaster Management, and First Aid. The institute aims to empower trainees to utilize these skills effectively in their future careers. It conducts specialized training programs on fire, industrial safety, and first aid for industrial units, government organizations, and semi-government organizations to address emergencies like fire incidents, gas leakage, and explosions. Over the past 6 years, the National Fire Safety Institute has trained students in Fire, Safety & Environment and facilitated their placement in various organizations in Gujarat. The institute’s primary goal is to provide skilled education in Fire, Safety & Environment to economically disadvantaged individuals who face barriers to pursuing higher education. Recently, NFSI has been approved by the Directorate of Industrial Safety & Health, Ahmedabad (Government of Gujarat) to conduct specified topics on industrial safety and health for shop floor workers and employees of high-risk companies.
